Cynthia M. Bouchez, Ph.D., is Principal with the Firm. Dr. Bouchez is a seasoned patent practitioner with extensive experience in worldwide strategic patent planning, due diligence investigations, freedom-to-operate analyses, as well as validity, infringement, and patentability opinions. She is also an expert in post-grant proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, such as patent reexaminations, inter partes reviews, and post grant reviews.

Dr. Bouchez’s depth of experience allows her to develop US and worldwide patenting strategies that are unique to the needs of her clients, whether they are a small start-up or a large, established company. She also understands the intersection of regulatory and patent issues, and how best to navigate both systems to her clients’ benefit.

Before joining the firm, Dr. Bouchez was of counsel at a leading D.C. intellectual property boutique law firm. While there, she published on important intellectual property topics, such as post-grant trial proceedings, joint infringement issues related to personalized medicine claims, and utility and enablement.
