Scott M. Woodhouse, Ph.D. is a Principal with the firm. Dr. Woodhouse has extensive experience in the preparation and prosecution of U.S. and foreign patent applications in the chemical, biochemical, pharmaceutical, food science and biotechnology arts.
He also counsels and assists clients with strategic patent planning, due diligence issues, freedom-to-operate issues, as well as validity, infringement, and patentability opinions. Dr. Woodhouse also has extensive experience with patent reexaminations.
Prior to joining the firm, Dr. Woodhouse was associated with a Washington, D.C. based intellectual property boutique law firm. He completed his graduate work at Duke University studying cellular membrane proteins involved in bacteriophage infection of Escherichia coli. His technical expertise includes biochemistry, molecular biology, virology and bacteriology.
